Want to know what I’m doing?

Well… even if you don’t want to know, I’m telling you!

At this exact moment in time? I am sitting in a Coffee Bean. I just finished my homework for the evening, and am weighing my options of what I can do next. I can either go home and do nothing, or I can sit here and write. I haven’t written in several weeks. It’s a sucky feeling. I feel worthless. I feel like scum. Who am I kidding? I don’t feel like either of those things, but it does suck. Frankly, I’ve been very busy. I’ve been working plenty of shoots, and playing host to an array of people. Again I lied, I’ve only been playing host to my brother. But that took a lot of effort! We went on many adventures.

The past couple of weeks has been filled with travelling. I went to Bakersfield, San Diego, and Loma Linda, near San Bernardino.

My brother left this morning, and now it’s back to reality.

I have my Script Analysis class this evening, which I’m not the biggest fan of due to the onslaught of papers I have to write.

This weekend I’m gaffing a music video directed by Andrew Furtado. Guaranteed fun, especially since the video consists of a fat comedian who wants to be a Kardashian.

Laura, my beautiful, wonderful girlfriend, arrives on Tuesday. It’s been a couple of months since I last saw her, and it’ll be her first time in L.A., so we’ll have a lot of fun adventures.

Once she leaves, I’ll be working two more shoots, then moving out of my place and heading out east for the summer.

One month to go. I’m excited at the prospect of being back for more than a week or two. I do love Los Angeles, and am certainly looking forward to returning in the fall, but there’s no place like home.

I believe I mentioned in a previous post that I already have some plans unfolding for the summer.

Those plans include:

DPing a short film directed by Shaheer Lanier, written by Jake Levine.

Directing an excerpted screen test from my feature script.

Possibly directing/shooting a few music videos.

Who knows? I’m sure there’s more than that.

Anyway, that’s all for now.

Why I’m Doing This…

…And Why You’re Reading This… Hopefully.

I talk about a lot of nonsense on here. And then I talk about some things that are very important to me. I want to tell you why I’m writing on here at all.

Basically it’s for me, and you, to be able to trace my journey through goals, dreams, adventures, ambitions, days, weeks, months, years, basically life. I’m sure you’re wondering, “Well, why does he want to trace his own journey?” Good hypothetical question, self. I’m writing these entries for myself kind of like a journal, but nowhere near as private. I don’t have a personal journal, and even if I did I wouldn’t really have anything to say in it. I’d rather post my thoughts and actions on a website like this. That way I can access it anywhere and anytime.

So buckle up, or don’t. It may or may not be a bumpy ride. I can’t really be too certain of anything right now except for the end result of it all. X marks the very finite spot, but there is an infinite amount of dotted lines leading to that one conclusion. So this is all a matter of which path I will take. You could say that the X is my ultimate death, but that’s not what I’m referring to. This is a different X. This is my ultimate dream.

As I was saying, buckle up, or don’t. But you’re going to be following my words.

Here’s an update on my life, kind of. Right now I’m in Maryland, USA. East coast, great place. I’ve lived here my entire life. I’ve lived in this same town for the entirety of my life. In July, four months from now, I will be moving to Los Angeles, California. 3,000 miles away. Once in LA I will be attending Columbia College Hollywood, and doing my absolute best to achieve the rare act of actually living out my dream: Filmmaking, for the rest of my short life.

Oh, and as an update on my immediate life, I’m pretty excited to come home from work tonight to watch UFC on Versus. Jon Jones and Junior Dos Santos will not disappoint me. Yes, I love MMA. What’s up?

And after that’s over, I’ll pull a full u-turn and watch the new Planet Earth-esque show “Life”.
